Writer`s Profile

Fistra Janrio Tandirerung is a passionate Medical Doctor whose aim is to contribute in delivering good clinical practice, developing medical education, and research in Indonesia. He obtained his bachelor degree from Tadulako University School of Medicine in Palu City, Central Sulawesi in the middle of 2016. He also obtained his medical professional degree from the same institution 2 years later.

During his undergraduate study, he delivered his interest in education as a teaching assistant at the Department of Anatomy of Tadulako University. After completing his medical education, he undertake his clinical internship in his hometown at Lakipadada General Hospital and Puskesmas (Community Health Center) Ge`tengan.

He has been pursuing his dream to study abroad in order to encomplete his self with more advanced knowledge and skill to give more contribution to his beloved country, Indonesia. He`s been admitted to several prominent universities for his master study in the United Kingdom for Cardiovascular Science and Anatomy programmes where his interest lied. He also has been awarded Global Exellence Scholarship from one of the university he applied for. The universities he has admitted to are as follow:

-University of York (Clinical Anatomy and Education)

Not only for master programme, he also has admitted to a short course programme in KIT Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam, Netherland. He was offered to take short course in Health Policy and Financing. 

During his undergraduate study, he had been awarded Bidik Misi Scholarship from Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education. He has also been awarded Indonesian Education Scholarship from LPDP under Indonesian Ministry of Finance for his master degree. 

Upon the completion of his study, he would like to emphasize his work as a clinician, lecturer, and scientist in cardiovascular disease prevention and risk stratification as well as improving quality of life fo people suffering for cardiovascular disease trough clinical practice, medical education and research.
